Thomson Catering & Enterprises Pte Ltd has been around since 1969, serving the construction, manufacturing
and petro-chemical industries. Started by a humble family, the caterer commenced
operations on the oil-refinery island collectively called Jurong Island. Through
the recommendation of faithful clients and by word-of-mouth, our family-run catering
operations started taking on more projects.
We blossomed during the infrastructural projects of the 1970s and 1980s when Jurong
Island, Pulau Sakra and Pulau Seraya were being developed by JTC and EDB into a
petro-chemical hub.
In 1998, Thomson Catering evolved into Thomson Catering & Enterprises Pte Ltd,
a business corporation company. At the same time, we also attained ISO 9002:1995.
Many projects were secured which included Chiyoda Corporation, Exxon Mobil Chemical,
Penta-Ocean Construction Company Limited, Chevron, Obayashi and Plant Engineering
Construction Pte Ltd just to name a few.
Not limiting only to clients in Singapore, we also serve wide varieties of food & beverage to
a spectrum of clients from countries like USA, UK, Japan, Korea, Philippines,
Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and Australia.
This early success enabled Thomson Catering to expand its business from catering
service to restaurant & cafeterias management.
In 2003, we were awarded the ISO 9001:2000 certification - a very customer focused
caterer in management and operations of canteen and catering service.
To date, we are proud to have served more than 45,400 workers from projects since 1969, and we are still growing.
We are pleased to inform all our customer that as of April 2011, our new central kitchen (at Jurong Food Hub) is ready and in full operation - this facility will enable us to double our food chain production to meet the growing demand.
